Restricted Use of Conflict Minerals

Recently, the coverage on human rights violations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and environmental issues resulting from the extraction of minerals, including Au, Ta, Sn and W which are widely used in the Information and Communication Technology industry, has aroused wide public concern. Chimei Innolux has proactively taken measures on the sources and origins of the mentioned minerals to ensure a conflict-free supply chain.

Chimei Innolux Statement for Restricted Use of Conflict Minerals.

■ Chimei Innolux suppliers must uphold the high standards for social and environmental responsibilities in their operations.

■ Chimei Innolux does not accept the conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC) and its adjoining countries.

■ Chimei Innolux suppliers should trace the origins of the minerals used, e.g. Co, Au, Pd, Ta, Sn and W, to ensure that they are not "conflict minerals" or "blood ore" related.

■ Chimei Innolux suppliers should impose the same requirement on their upstream suppliers.
